The GSA was formed to provide a forum where matters of concern to graduate and professional students may be discussed, where opinions on actions and proposals of the University Administration and campus departments may be expressed, and where interactions between the administration, departments and graduate groups may be initiated.

GSA aims to unite SF State graduate and professional students, provide an opportunity for networking and community building, and promote access, growth, and excellence. We will host a variety of events and workshops that will equip students with the information needed to progress towards your graduate degree. Gain more information about the procedures for award of a Master's degree from Graduate Studies staff, advisors, and representatives from the Graduate Student Association (GSA).

- Navigating the IRB and human subjects process
- Master's thesis format checks
- The top 10 reasons for graduation denials
